Excellence in Care

Equipment Enhancements
The Need: $1.3 million
Your generous contribution could provide technological and equipment updates so doctors and nurses can provide patients at Eden with the best in medical care. Advancements in technology for medical tools and equipment mean patients can experience less pain and discomfort and doctors can perform procedures which are less invasive. This can translate into shorter recovery times and decreased hospital stays. Eden constantly strives to improve a patient’s health care experience and state-of-the-art equipment and technology helps us to meet this goal.

ICU Upgrades
The Need: $417,000
Consider making a gift to help patients in intensive care to comfortably and safely recover from surgery and other medical procedures. New beds and upgraded nurse call systems will improve a patient’s stay and help nurses to better attend to the needs of each patient.

Medical and Surgical Floor Enhancements at San Leandro
The Need: $108,000
Philanthropic support will help us purchase two low beds, two bed alarms, and two wander guard systems for San Leandro Hospital. This equipment will help to prevent falls, monitor patients with head injuries or dementia and provide the safest care possible for patients.

Outpatient Surgery
The Need: $144,000
Higher image quality and patient comfort are combined in the newest tools used by physicians for colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Your generous gift will enable the Outpatient Surgery Department to replace older, outdate equipment with the latest technology.

Community Health Services

Cancer Support Groups
The Need: $30,000
Eden’s cancer support groups have a strong and meaningful impact on our community. In fact, the demand and importance of these groups have increased so much that recently an additional one was added, bringing our total number of groups to five. Cancer patients, survivors, loved ones and caregivers come together on a weekly basis and provide a steady and solid base for one another. Your generous gift will help us continue to offer these much-needed groups at no cost to people and patients in our community who have been affected by cancer.

Free Flu Clinics
The Need: $10,000
Influenza (Flu) is a contagious respiratory illness which can sometimes lead to death, and senior citizens are among the most vulnerable groups in the population. Every year Eden provides two free flu clinics for seniors; one at its Castro Valley campus and one at its San Leandro campus. You can help Eden to continue to provide this vital service, which serves approximately 800 members of our community each year.
